I am looking for a crank for a 1978 ford 1600 industrial motor sometimes called a Kent engine.1.6L

I have an old Mustang 440 that had the Ford 1.7L 4 cyl in it. Motor is shot. Looking for suggestions on what replacement motor I should use. It’s a 40 year old machine so please keep that in mind. However it does run well, or did anyway until broken CAM

Well I pulled the head off last night and bad news. Two of the pushrods are just missing. I suspect they are in the oil pan but I imagine this engine is beyond repair. I wonder if one of those two cylinder diesel motors that are Kabota tractors would be powerful enough

I have an old 440 gasser that I finally killed the engine in. From the sound of it I would guess broken rod or broken valve. What would you recommend for a replacement engine? How many HP does this little machine need? Would a 25 HP air cooled do it? It’s almost 40 years old so I don’t want to...

has anyone ever removed the fuel tanks in a 440? I have all the manuals and none of them talk about it. Are there actual fuel tanks or is it just part of the chassi?

It was the Federal Government’s machine. It sat for years. I also got all the maintenance manuals with it.

New member with a Mustang 440 Hydro drive. It has 43 hours on it and came with the forks as well as regular bucket. I am in the process of rebuilding the carb but other than that it looks in great shape. I have no idea what year it is but it does have the Ford gas motor.

New to me 440 with 43 hours on it. Is there an easy way to tell what year it is? The manuals say something about update in 1978.
